I have two roommates who despise each other, seem to have very little in common besides an abundance of free time and there love for the internet! My roommates can drive me nuts from time to time because I’m also like the old big bother for these two. I feel like Dave Seville, from the move Alvin and the Chipmunks. Maybe it's cramming three roommates into a one-person space in Honolulu, Hawaii Apt. Now for sure it’s usually easier for two roommates to coexist rather than three. The more bodies squeezed into a small space, and it’s more likely that there some type of problems. We work very different hours of the day, we all eat very different types of food and very different needs.

My one roommate has more clothes and shoes than my wife who is a Filipina. Oh my God it’s unreal… and takes every bit of space he can get for his things. The other one has the absolute minimum things that one need to get by in life and try’s to respecting others stuff...etc

My roommates have their own characters. We work hard to cope with each other, otherwise survival would be difficult. I take a lot of time to talk with them and too understand them... also I’m open to their thoughts/ideas/concerns as well everyone has some negative characters and nobody one is perfect.

Roommates can make you still feel like a guest or uncomfortable in your place event if it’s living in a shoebox.

Last week I was flying back to USA t, and the lounge in the airport at Manila, Philippines was packed with many travelers. There was a throng of relatives and friends who said farewells to their departing loved ones. There was a group of other voyagers anxious to get to their destined locations; a few were traveling to USA, other people to the Middle East and further more to Europe. My family was among them. I was also waiting for this day to come, It was very sad day for me. I going to miss everyone in my family, I will miss my wife (Asawa) so much. it going to be very hard being apart for so long.

In the Philippines at least 2,500 citizens leave each day to earn their living in foreign lands. Many times you will see a couple of persons in a family usually working and residing abroad like myself. The same is a fact with other regions in Asia and other poorer places in the world. What are the factors influencing this exodus of citizens from one region to the other? The first factor is for financial reasons. People want to obtain a better life. Alluring openings like high paying jobs, better working situations and finer standards of living. All of these tempt many people to go abroad.
When leaving to a more economically developed country, a worker usually enjoys a large financial disparity as contrasted with what is generally made from their country of origin. For example, a Filipino nurse, commonly makes about 6000 pesos monthly, approximately US$150 when engaged in the Philippines as compared to making $6000 in a month while working in the USA. The greater salary does not just do god to the immigrated worker but including the family, the immigrant leaves behind.

The third cause is interracial marriage. This will be my wife (asawa). Soon I will make applications so that she will be able stay with me in her new adopted home of USA. But it all take time along time.

Being a Expat in the Philippines you come to know that living with the Filipino people can be a wonderful experience. You will truly feel wanted and appreciated especially if you learn to adapt to the Filipino culture. As a Expat you will observe that there is a huge degree of tolerance of other cultures and a willingness to accept other peoples practices.

Red Cross saids "We all expect blood to be there for us, but barely a fraction of those who can give do. Yet sooner or later, virtually all of us will face a time of great vulnerability in which we will need blood."

Well this last week, I was going to give blood to help out a family member at the Red Cross in Balanga City, Bataan Philippines. Well I guess not why because I'm a Expat in the Philippine, See I learn that all expats come to the Philippines not live here or be with our loved ones. No all expats come to the Philippines to case after Bar girls and Bar boy and have sex with them all! This was the basic suggestion from the Red Cross work! And he said this in front of my wife and family. Now, I do under stand the they want to keep the blood supply safe.

But if I was an OFW (Overseas Filipino Workers) this would have never been said to me or my family! They would have taking my blood.

Well ones thing has change for me, I will not give too or ever help out the Red Cross because they have made it so deeply personal that they do not need my gift of blood.

Well some thing never change! Manila is by far the richest city in Philippines, and with fuel and food price increases all over the Philippines. Now it has all of us looking to cut travel costs and time to get to work. You know it as the morning rush. Manila has the Light Rail Transit (LRT)it was only used as transport for the masses. Well not any more these days since fuel prices started increasing this year. Now days you see more and more people wearing ties and barongs you know them as business men, ones who would never be a passengers on the LTR. Well it's no longer a matter of choice but of necessity. The commuters are confident they are saving time and money using the LRT and MTR it will take you 20 minutes but by car it could take two hours. It all come down to inflation soars in the Philippines and gasoline prices climb relentlessly. The good news is Manila's legendary traffic jams are diminishing, and air quality is getting better and that good for ever one.

Well it true somethings never change! The morning commute to work also known as the morning rush is one of those things. It does not matter if you are in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Honolulu, Tokyo or Manila here in the Philippines. Almost everyone has some type of morning commute to work!

Well but me I'm unemployed right now. That is why I can work on my Blog.










It's hearing the sound of the morning rush. Every morning about 5 am I can look out my window and see men and mostly women doing the commute rush to work, the Children's morning rush to school starts about 7 am. This has me wondering how most families deal with this morning rush ... Daddy or Mom work and the kids attend a daycare or school. Well I know here in the Philippines it all about avoiding the morning rush with planning and preparation. When morning time is unhurried and organized, everyone is more relaxed and the day begins much brighter. I have so much I can said about our morning rush.... But I will save it for a later day. I think it time for my 2nd cup of morning coffee..
